FINDING YOUR VOICE IN DRAMA

This January LADS is offering our annual winter workshop for anyone interested in developing their theatre skills. It will take place on Sunday, 11 January at the Oswestry Senior Citizens' Club from 9.30 to 3.30 pm, with a bring and share lunch. The programme is as follows:

9.30-12.30 FINDING YOUR VOICE AS AN ACTOR

Join renowned professional voice coach Caroline Heatherington for this fascinating session. Learn how to use your body and breathing to explore the full potential of your voice, as well as how to connect your voice more effectively with your thoughts and emotions as you respond to drama texts.

12.30-1.00 LUNCH - bring and share

1.00-2.00 FINDING YOUR VOICE AS A DIRECTOR

A meet the director session - four of our own directors talk about their recent experiences of directing plays for LADS and Stage Five Theatre, followed by an open Q&A session. Pam Johnson, Alison Utting, Keith Clarke and Julia Thomas talk to Margaret Hutchings.

2.00-3.30 FINDING YOUR VOICE WITH OTHERS

We will finish the day with a fun, interactive session of drama games and improvisation, led by Alison Utting. You might use skills you have learned earlier in the day, or tap into your inner toddler! No knee pads required, just your imagination.
